Apple can't afford not to enter the Netbook market. Given that three other major manufacturers, Dell, Lenovo and HP, have entered the market with their versions of netbooks, they can't dare ignore the situation. With the lower price tags on Netbook computers, upgrading the Macbook Air into a Netbook would be a viable venture. Also, the smaller size of a netbook is widely favored by consumers, due to its portability, so upgrading their line to include Netbooks is in order.
