I don't use Digg too much anymore...Too many garbage boring stories...But I have to say I have a hard time believing many Digg readers would fall for that comment. Its just non-sensical, especially for an established publisher like SitePoint.

I've used the bury feature, but I don't very often. The IE7 tag they want to use is actually a good move I think. IE8 is more standards compliant and without the tag it will break all the IE7 pages. It's silly that we've had to do this to begin with, but at least Microsoft is cleaning up their act a little.

I can't wait for the surge in desktop applications as CEOs start to hype the benefits of local run code. The article basically said that more people are using the internet than they used to and so other programs aren't as useful. Not very useful I don't think.
