I have a friend who has U-Verse, he's complained about a lot of static and lag. It seems they're okay now, but he had a lot of frustrating phone calls to customer service.

I saw some comments from the previous CEO of mySQL and he basically said that 1) this was planned before Sun bought mySQL and 2) this gives enterprise backing and support to a free software package and 3) this is how mySQL was planning on paying the bills
