Jason Hiner has an interesting article on the battle shaping up for smartphones in the year 2008. Apple has managed to take second place in market share in less than a year, with Blackberry still leading but not significantly. Microsoft with Windows Mobile was pushed down into third place and the remaining OS competitors including Palm, Symbian, and Linux hold a relatively minor market share.
