Of Course You’ll Keep Developing For The iPhone
Michael Arrington responds to recent comments by developers like Frasier Speirs and Dave Winer that they will no longer develop iPhone applications as Apple has taken to banning not only applications it finds unuseful but also competitive applications - and only tells the developer after the application has been developed. Arrington suggests that while Apple is in the wrong there is nothing practical to be done about it. Just like Facebook, people will keep writing applciations.

I agree with all - very unfair...though for the time being people will continue developing applications for the iPhone. I would add to Arrington's commentary that we can expect more open competitors like Google's Android to eventually force Apple to loosen its vice-like grip, just as Mac OS X and Linux have done to Microsoft with Windows.
