About Our Job Openings.

Informed Networker is currently a small company and in order to keep overhead costs low is currently only working with independent contractors. Informed Networker is not the place to look for mainstay employment but may be able to offer some supplemental income to those currently employed elsewhere or who work full-time in a consulting business.

Available Positions.

Position Title: Junior Editor.
Position Description: Reviews stories automatically aggregated by our RSS Importer. Writes more concise/detailed summaries (2-4 sentences) on each story after reviewing the content of the full article. Updates title, tags, and category of article as-needed. Discards spam, writes comments on articles, and generally helps foster a dynamic community.
Position Requirements:
  • Good grasp of the English language - both vocabulary and syntax.
  • Good grasp of technical topics and an ability to briefly summarize technical articles.
Positive Indicators:
  • Currently studying, employed, or involved in a technical field.
  • Industry standard certifications such as A+, MCSE, or CCNA.
Compensation:
Begins at $.20 per relevant news story submitted. Must submit at least one story on five days each week. Compensation is made once a month via PayPal or check. Informative comments $.05 each, votes $.01 each.
Position Title: Sales Associate.
Position Description: Responsible for proactively recruiting advertisers for Informed Networker. Manages existing advertiser relationships - ensuring a mutually beneficial interaction and long-term profitability for both parties.
Position Requirements:
  • Good grasp of the English language - both vocabulary and syntax.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Good grasp of technical topics and an ability to briefly summarize technical articles.
Positive Indicators:
  • Currently studying, employed, or involved in a technical field.
  • Industry standard certifications such as A+, MCSE, or CCNA.
  • Experience in sales, especially if in a technical field.
Compensation:
Payment is based on performance. Sales Associates receive a flat 5% commission for securing an advertiser. For each month the advertiser renews with Informed Networker sales associate will receive an additional 1% commission on that advertiser's purchases - up to 10%. Sales Associate continues to receiving recurring commissions for as long as they maintain a successful business relationship with the advertiser.
