Peter Ha relates that some MacBook Pros with Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics cards may experience distorted or scrambled video due to faulty video cards. Although Nvidia had assured Apple that the cards used in their computers would not be affected, Apple has determined that they may indeed experience problems, and has promised that,"If the NVIDIA graphics processor in your MacBook Pro has failed, or fails within two years of the original date of purchase, a repair will be done free of charge, even if your MacBook Pro is out of warranty." read more »
