Should colleges really teach hacking?
George Ledin, a professor at Sonoma State University, offers a controversial course in which he actively teaches his students to create malware with the intent that if they learn to think like hackers they will understand them and be better able to combat them.

While it is certain that certain students utilize these skills for evil, one can't combat malware without being intimately familiar with how it works.
I couldn't agree more. As a computer student I tryed to learn ways of protecting computers from hacking. But it wasn't until I learn how to do the hack, could I begin to figure out how to stop it.
