Scope for Digital Rights Management Market
As per one of the reports that was issued recently on digital rights management, DRM software products have a great future as there is an increasing customer demand for licensed digital content. If the DRM market is to grow, then balance should be struck between right compensation for those who develop digital content and the access to end users. Problems often develop in this area because end users either feel the cost of the digital content is too high (it is generally expected that digital content should be made available at less cost than physical goods), or that they ‘own’ content rather than it being ‘licensed’ to them, and therefore they can do what they like with it. Users therefore seek other unacceptable shortcuts such as downloading pirated software and information.
